once again, the wonderful Sun has shared a beautiful japanese shop website with me! Hiromatsu offers great furniture with a lot of natural wood inspirations. i love how these environments are so spacious and white with perfect lighting to house plants as well. (coincidentally, these are the same people with the ダカフェ日記 blog which i have linked under 日本ブログ)

just got over a stressful week of intense studying for midterms, but they all went great! what a relief. but now i have a huge load of drawings to finish for my art critique next week.

Chigo みせ

i am in LOVE with this japanese brand/shop called Chigo (all thanks to Sun for linking me to it when he suggested chair design websites to me). the store mainly sells childrens clothes, but also some womens outerwear and various gifts: books, toys, some furniture, etc. I would totally dress my child in this fashion. they have such a calm and simple aesthetic. i love this style.

Project Help!

in my 3D composition class, our next project is to make a stool/small chair to sit on. i wont be working with big pieces of wood like these, i will only be using 1x2" planks, but can still form various structures in the woodshop. i need ideas & inspirations!

can you offer me any websites or cool chair designs for further inspiration? please :-)

...if only it were real. Alex Cornell created all this wonderful promotional material for this grad project. though hypothetical, would have been an amazing event to occur. the royal tenenbaums has always been one of my all time favourite films. (found via all the mountains)

Japan Party

heres some pictures from last night's japanese theme party! thank you all for your great suggestions! we ended up feasting on a great variety of different japanese foods: tonkatsu, D.I.Y sushi rolls, zaru soba, home made gyoza, miso soup, yakimochi, edamame, pomegranate sake and japanese beers. i had a japanese music playlist as background music and we also played games.

next week is already halloween! we're having a halloween party at my house probably then, haha. i probably want to dress up either as Peter Rabbit....or a pokemon. hahah, what do you guys plan to be for halloween??

last night, i had another get together at my house with all my friends. but this time, besides all the food and wine and games, we also had a little tiedye party! it was so exciting to see how everyones shirt came out.
