some of my work so far...

...now keep in mind that i just learned weaving and crocheting like two weeks ago, so i'm not very good yet! even though i'm quite pleased and surprised at what i have accomplished so far, i still have a lot yet to learn. i really want to strengthen my abilities in these techniques.

the first one is of a abstract woven form. i'm aiming towards the themes of birth and transformation... i'm still going to extend the end to a wider opening and have little wooden maquette's coming out of it.

and these were just some crocheted mushrooms i made yesterday. i'm becoming slowly better at crocheting. i thought these came out really cute! :-p

...and i would like to say a big thank you to Hello Sandwich for sending me a nice christmas present!!! she gave me a copy of her gift wrapping zine, along with a sweet note. it made me smile so much! ほんとうありがとう、エボニーちゃん!!とてもすき〜!

ps: tonight i made myself some yaki-tomorokoshi (Japanese grilled corn)
すごくおいしかった!

i just checked in to your blog so i could have some nice music playing while i checked my email, and wow!!

two weeks?! can't wait to see what you make next.

good luck to you developing your skills: i've recently picked up knitting again in attempt to improve my pretty rudimentary skills and i'm loving the challenge and i'm sure you will too :)

i'm so impressed. i love the mushrooms! before you know it, you will be able to crochet without even looking.

and i am just in awe of your woven piece. how does one even going about making something like that? i have no idea. but i love it.
