here's another Japanese movie recommendation :-)
for a film thats almost about nothing, i completely fell in love with this one. it's simplicity at it's best, taken place in a beautiful location. a lot of it reminds me of Muji: from its neutral colours, cafe-style hotel, quaint meals, cute music, and even the scene where they do morning exercises... i felt like i was watching a real Muji commercial with the synchronicity and toy-like old piano music.
this film has beautifully balanced cinematography, sun-soaked lighting, and even a nice mix of silly humor with emotional teachings to find peace and appreciate stillness. it's a great summer film to watch. i walked away from this feeling comfortable and relaxed :-) here's some stills i captured for you, please enjoy!
