so here is the installation piece me and my friend Megumi worked on! it was for our woven structures art class. our project was basically to create something based off of the inspiration from artist Andy Goldsworthy. if you already don't know who he is, he creates spectacular things in nature! they're so simple, yet dynamic.
we titled this "Hide and Speak." so what do you think? :-D

This is a wonderful project! It reminds me so much of a bowerbirds nest. There is a wonderful bit in David Attenboroughs documentary "The Life of Birds" on bowerbirds nests which i highly recommend watching on you tube!

my son(nashi) goes to san francisco school waldorf school. this artist, andy, has done natural sculptures in the presidio, where the children(in school) spend 1 day a week, rain or shine, discovering nature and playing among the wonder of life.
