had a nice long day with my good friend Ashley. we went to the north shore in the morning and played in the tide pools and took a nap in the sun. then had some shave-ice to cool us down (originally called かきごおり/kakigori, a native Japanese ice snack, now localized in Hawaii). later having some drinks at a bar, then dinner at the restaurant across that street. we drove home singing horribly in the car because we were so uncomfortably full from the delicious japanese meal :-D
i would say the first day of my spring break was successful!
