Urban Body Exhibition

about a month ago, i was delighted to be asked to contribute and write an article for this Urban Body Exhibition held in Singapore.  it was a project founded by an online society called SCYA: Singaporean Contemporary Young Artists.

the article i wrote was amongst a number of other guest bloggers/writers that would be featured on their website, counting up the days to their actual exhibition held at the Orange Thimble Cafe in Tiong Bahru city, Singapore.

their theme was entitled "Urban Body" which explores our human existence in counterpart with the urban environment around us and how that has molded and influenced our lifestyles and behaviors.

you can read my article here, where i share my experiences while staying in Japan and how my tattoos have somewhat heightened my self consciousness in a place that boasts a more conservative public display, as well as in contrast to Japan's outlandish underground and youthful artistic scene.

i am also excited that they will be printing a catalogue from their exhibition which will also include my article.  i can't wait to share it with you all!
